What I learned from a Big Loser

Judging the 2016 Iron Eagle

Female Judges the 2016 Iron Eagle

She lost over 100 lbs and she told me why.  This just happened this past weekend – she lost and still won??? Every year I have the opportunity  to be on the judges panel for 2 – 3 fitness competitions.  Each time I get inspired by the competitors and their stories.

The competitors are all shapes and sizes.  Some of them are super fit and some may appear less than super fit UNTIL you hear their story.  This past weekend I met one woman who had lost over 100 lbs and another that had lost over 200 lbs.  WOW!  Neither one of these ladies won the top prize trophy in their categories.  But they have both won so much more in life.
I asked the competitor that lost over 100 lbs what made her lose it.  She simply said “I just got tired of it”.
I know most of us don’t plan to compete in a fitness competition BUT we can definitely learn from the attitude of a competitor who went for it and got on stage and shared her new body & life changing win.  A weight LOSER who completely transformed because she got “tired of it”.
What better reason to make a change?  I find that getting tired of something is the # reason that we make a change.
Until we get tired enough of where we are we won’t do the work to go somewhere different.
Until we get tired enough we complain
Until we get tired enough we find other things to put our time and energy into
Until we get tired enough we get down and out
Until we get tired enough we deny and ignore
Until we get tired enough we lay blame
Until we get tired enough we stay the same or get worse
I am thankful to this beautiful woman for sharing her big loss  & her win with me.  And I had to share it with you!
Wishing you A Big Loss & A Huge Win!
